Write for us
We welcome pitches that help a general reader follow how a movie communicates through story, image, sound, editing or viewing choices. Send proposals through the Contact page; please do not submit a full article unless we have agreed to consider it.
What to pitch
Good proposals start with one precise question and a clear answer the article will help readers reach. You might explain a storytelling convention, compare two ways a film directs attention, or offer a focused approach to watching a scene. Keep the subject distinct from existing coverage, avoid jargon or explain it, and make room for interpretation rather than declaring one definitive meaning.
What to include
Use the contact form to share a working title, a short outline, the intended reader and why the subject fits Clear Movie Guide. Include any relevant experience or connection to the topic, but do not imply that a personal reading represents every viewer. Proposals should be original and should identify any material relationship that could affect the piece.
Review and expectations
A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication. We may ask questions or suggest a narrower focus before deciding whether it fits. Please do not send confidential information, and do not expect a particular response time or payment arrangement unless those details have been agreed directly.
How to send a pitch
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. A concise pitch with one central idea is easier to assess than a broad list of possible subjects.
